Nazy Wadia, founder and designer of dame has never been one to shy away from the unusual. Having no background in art or design, if she couldn’t find something she liked, she found a way to create it. Whether it was turning necklaces into headbands, or shirts into dresses, she somehow found a way. With a Middle Eastern heritage, her inspiration was initially sparked when sifting through old photos of her mother and aunt donning amazing, somewhat over-the-top jewelry. While her mom was laughing at how silly she thought she looked, Nazy saw it from a different perspective. The wheels were set in motion.
